Yesterday's Grand Avenue Festival seemed quite a bit smaller than last two year's events. While both the Music Center and Colburn had numerous events and the Taste of Downtown was well represented, there were far fewer booths, no art galleries, fewer local organizations participating and the crowds seemed more modest than last year.
Rumor has it one of the main sponsors pulled their funding, leaving event's promoters too short staffed to do their usual outreach to the rest of Downtown.
