Moronic Local TV News Shows Ignore News For Low Speed Car Chase!
The CBS, NBC and ABC 11 PM news shows have just dropped any pretense of news coverage by preempting the news for helicopter coverage of an unknown driver being chased by unknown police officers for unknown reasons. Not as frightening as Bill Mahler's 'humor' column in the below item, but... scary enough.

Local news shows' obsession over cop cars chasing a fleeing suspect's car, and the reported popularity of such TV coverage, makes me think we're all a bunch of bored dumb hicks.
